Crosswordia is a hybrid organization that aims to become the largest manufacturer of crossword. Crosswordia is comprised of around 16,200 workers and a design community of over 365,000 crossword designers.

It claims to have the intention of unifying the crossword community “under one roof”. It was formed in 1920, four years after the introduction of crossword into Crazybloxian Empire in 1916 and seven years after it was first invented in 1913.

The organization was founded as a crossword company dedicated to publishing crossword puzzles and was comprised of three crossword designers. It rapidly expanded in the 1950s and 60s after Crosswordia Inc. announced the company would be more open and collaborative just like Wikipedia.

Crossword designers rushed in to secure a seat at Crosswordia Inc. known as the Crossrush from 1972-1985 and contributed to the skyrocketing popularity of crossword crossword from 2012-2017.

It became a hybrid organization in 1965 by popular demand by it’s crossword designers and officialy became hybrid on October 12th, 1965.

Swastika puzzle incident[edit | edit source]

In 2006, Crosswordia got flamed by netizens after allegedly designing their crosswords into a shape of a swastika and added “Hitler” into a crossword puzzle.
